Members directory
See who is in the strata and manage promotions, demotions, and removals.
What it is
Settings → People lists council and residents for the active strata. It is where day-to-day membership changes happen after invites are accepted.
What you can do
- View everyone in the strata
- Invite residents
- Promote, demote, or remove members (with president safeguards)
- Resend or revoke resident invites
- Record that a different person now uses a shared account (shared council accounts)
Settings → People also shows the council roster, and its Council term card holds the AGM date and transition. Needs review visibility and delegated admin for a property manager are in Settings → Access & permissions, and the unit count is in Settings → Plan & billing.
Who can do it
Viewing People: council. Promoting, demoting, and removing members, and changing who uses an account: the president or vice president only, with safeguards around the president seat.
Limits and things to know
- President and VP are singleton roles — transfer before removing.
- Promoting a member, or changing a council member's role, gives them the role and a council term (or moves their open term to the new role), and clears their pending promotion, all in one step. If someone else changed that member first, such as a hand-over of the presidency to them or a demotion, nothing changes and you're asked to refresh and try again.
- Handing the presidency to a resident gives them a council term and clears their pending promotion, as any promotion does, in the same step as the hand-over.
- Residents never see the full directory.
- Removing someone ends their access to that strata; their Pleno login may still exist for other strata corporations.
- Removing a council member keeps their votes, and the votes they asked for, under their name. A vote still open stays open: their own vote on it no longer counts, and the rest of council finishes it, or an admin cancels it. See Voting.
