Inviting council and residents

Send invite links so the right people join with the right access.

What it is

Invites are how you bring people into an existing Pleno building without making them guess roles and unit numbers.

Council invites

From Settings → Council, the president can invite someone as a council member or a property manager. Any council admin can resend or revoke a pending invite.

The role is chosen when the invite is sent, and activation applies it. Executive roles such as vice president, treasurer, and secretary are assigned later, once the person is in the building.

Council invites use an activation link (about 14 days) and can set password or Google sign-in.

Resident invites

From Settings → Members, council can invite residents with email, unit, and building pre-filled. Pending invites can be resent or revoked.

Who can do it

  • Council invites and role assignment: the president (council admins can resend or revoke a pending invite)
  • Resident invites: any council member
  • Promote someone who self-joined as resident into council: the president or vice president, from Settings → Members

Limits and things to know

  • Checking “I'm a council member” at signup only emails the roles set to receive those notices (the president and vice president by default) — it does not grant access.
  • Property managers are provisioned as a council seat, not through resident signup.
  • Expired invites need a resend.
