Roles explained
The council and resident roles in Pleno and what they are for.
What it is
Every person in a strata has a role. Roles control menus, settings, voting, and who can change billing or invite others.
Resident role

| Vice president | Same admin powers as president for most settings, except council invites and transition role assignment |

| Transition member | Temporary seat during post-AGM handover |

Important distinctions
- President and vice president are singleton roles — only one person at a time. Transfer the role before demoting someone.
- Only the president can send council invites and assign roles to transition members. Other admin settings are open to the vice president as well.
- Property managers do not get full admin or approval voting unless council grants delegated admin.
- Bylaw officers cannot create or move maintenance cards.
- Treasurers can view billing but cannot start a plan change or checkout.
