Notification settings

How council admins route email and push notifications by role.

What it is

Settings → Notifications lets council admins choose which roles receive each operational email. Push is only set up for card approval votes — the initial request and the reminders that follow it; everything else is email. Preferences are strata-level, not a personal inbox preference screen for every user.

What you can configure

  • Resident report submitted
  • Card approval vote (email and push separately)
  • Card approval confirmed
  • Billing payment succeeded / failed
  • Council promotion requests (someone checked “I'm a council member” at signup)
  • Reporter milestone emails (report received / card in planning / done)
  • Approval reminder delay and max count
  • Optional “notify resident-only reporters” style modes where available

Per-user control that exists

On the mobile app, council members can turn push for approval votes on or off in /m/settings.

Who can do it

Council admins configure routing. Recipients are the roles you select.

Limits and things to know

  • There is no full per-user email unsubscribe UI for operational council mail.
  • Billing alerts default toward president/VP (failed payments may also include treasurer).
  • Transactional account emails (password reset, invites, welcome) are separate from these routing rules.
