What it is

The Pleno Gmail add-on adds a side panel in Gmail (desktop and the Gmail mobile app). From an open message you can create a maintenance card or add the email to an existing card.

What you can do

  1. Install the add-on from the Pleno listing on the Google Workspace Marketplace, then open it in Gmail.
  2. Connect Pleno once (OAuth sign-in to your Pleno account).
  3. On a message, review the pre-filled card form (title, summary, location, building, vendor).
  4. Optionally use Fill out form with AI on Pro.
  5. Create the card, or if the thread is already linked, add this email to the existing card.
  6. Open the card in Pleno when you want the full board experience.
  7. Disconnect Pleno from the add-on homepage if you need to revoke access.

On the Pleno card, Open in Gmail appears when Pleno saved enough detail to find the message. It opens Gmail in whichever account your browser is signed into, so the message only comes up if that account can see it.

Who can do it

Signed-in Pleno users whose role lets them create maintenance cards. Residents, bylaw officers, council members on read-only access, and property managers without delegated admin cannot create cards from the add-on. AI fill requires Pro.

Limits and things to know

  • The add-on only reads the currently open message — not your whole mailbox.
  • Attachment and body size caps apply (large emails may need trimming).
  • There is no two-way sync of labels or archive state.
  • Marketplace availability may depend on Google’s publish status for your workspace.
