What you can ask
How Ask AI helps council find answers in strata records.
What it is
Ask AI is a council chat that answers questions from your strata’s indexed documents, contracts, reports, maintenance history, and selected global legal context.
Open it with the Ask AI button at the top of Maintenance, Reports, Documents, Contractors and Timeline (on a phone, the sparkle icon after the page's other buttons), with ⌘J / Ctrl+J, from search, from a document upload nudge, or from the Ask AI tab in the installed app (Pro). In the installed app, Ask AI about this on a card, report or file starts a chat about it.
In the installed app, New at the top left starts a new chat, and Chat options (the three-dot button at the top right) lists your recent chats, where you can open or delete them.
What you can do
- Ask plain-language questions (bylaws, AGM minutes, depreciation, operating fund, past work)
- Start a new conversation or continue an old one (older chats load with Show more in Chat options)
- Delete conversations you no longer need — chats are also deleted automatically after a period without new messages; see Chat history
- Share a chat with the whole council, chosen members or by link, and read chats others shared with you; see Sharing a chat with council
- Use starter prompts when you are not sure how to begin
Who can do it
Council on Pro (including beta/complimentary treated as Pro). Admins (president, VP, delegated PM) see an upgrade path when Ask AI is locked.

- Monthly question and token budgets apply — see Limits.
- Answers are only as good as the documents you have uploaded and indexed.
- Ask AI is not a lawyer and should not be treated as legal advice.
