Exporting and deleting data
Download a strata export or remove your personal account.
What it is
You can take data out of Pleno, leave a single building, or delete your account entirely.
Export
On Standard or Pro, Account settings offer a data export ZIP for the strata. It is a council admin tool — use it before major transitions or if you need an offline package. Residents do not export building data; ask a council admin if you need records.
The ZIP holds CSV tables at the root — maintenance cards and their notes, reports, contracts and their annual costs, documents, attachments, external links, and the activity history for cards and contracts — plus the uploaded files themselves under files/ and uploaded-documents/. Only published maintenance cards are included — drafts are left out — and a README explains the layout. If a file could not be downloaded, you get a small .error.txt beside it rather than a silently missing document.
Leave strata
Removes your membership in that building only.
Delete account
Removes your Pleno user. Confirm carefully — this is separate from archiving a building’s subscription.
Who can do it
- Export: council admins on Standard or Pro, via Account
- Leave / delete: each user for themselves
Limits and things to know
- Free does not include export.
- Exporting is not the same as giving a new council access — prefer invites and transition tools for handover.
- Building data remains for other members after you leave.
