Usage and limits
What Settings → Usage shows, and the fair-use ceilings behind it.
What it is
Settings → Usage shows live counts for the strata: maintenance cards, report entries, document storage, vendor contracts, and — on Pro — document imports, email extractions and contractor replies read for quotes, each against its own monthly budget.
There is no cap on cards, documents or reports on any plan, including Free. The counts are there so you can see what your strata holds, not to warn you about a limit.

Fair-use ceilings
There are backstops on storage and email. They exist to catch something going wrong, not to shape what you can do, and they are set high enough that no ordinary council reaches one. If you do, here is exactly what happens:
- You are warned at 80%, so a ceiling is never a surprise.
- You are allowed past the line. Uploads keep working to about 120% of the ceiling. Nobody is stopped mid-way through filing something.
- Only new uploads stop. Downloads, export and deletion are never blocked, and nothing is ever deleted to make room.
- Forwarded email is never bounced. Over the monthly ceiling, forwards are held rather than rejected, and the count resets on the 1st.
- Notifications are never counted. Invites, password resets, billing notices and the warnings themselves are never metered, so a strata can never quota itself out of receiving them.
If your strata genuinely needs more, tell us and we will raise it.
Limits and things to know
- AI features stop or degrade when monthly budgets are exhausted. On Free those features are not included to begin with, so nothing changes.
- Contractor replies read for quotes have their own allowance: 100 a month on Pro, with its own AI budget. Forwarded email never uses it, and replies never use forwarded email's. Settings → Usage warns from 80%. Pleno stops reading replies on its own at 100% of the allowance; replies someone asks Pleno to read (Read the quote, Try again) are read to a little past it, then wait, with the reply saying so, until the count resets on the 1st. From one contractor, Pleno reads at most five replies a day on its own on one card, and 10 in 30 days across your cards; once their quote is in and two readings in a row found nothing, it waits for a reply that talks about a quote. The replies themselves are always filed and passed on.
- History is always readable, on every plan, even when a write limit applies.
