What you can and cannot do on mobile
Capabilities and hard limits of the installed Pleno mobile app.
What it is
The installed Pleno app covers the things you need on your phone — submitting and reading reports, checking maintenance, and voting on approvals. Some council work stays on desktop. This page lists what each role can and cannot do.
Residents
Can
- Submit reports (including offline queue)
- View their own report history and detail
- Browse resident-readable documents
- Update profile name, email, phone, password
Cannot
- Open maintenance, contracts, timeline, or council settings
- Upload documents
- Manage billing or members
Council
Can
- Browse reports (active / needs review / archived filters)
- Open a report to read it, see the photos and files attached to it, and read its activity history
- Turn a report into a maintenance card
- Mark a report reviewed, when the Needs review rules allow it (council admins always; other council members only if your strata has turned that on)
- Browse maintenance by status; open card detail
- Vote on approvals; see a badge when a vote is needed
- Move status, archive, publish drafts, request/cancel approvals, and record offline approvals when their role allows
- Read a card’s documents, activity, and linked reports
- Open the source email for a card when Pleno saved enough detail to find it
- Browse documents (read-only)
- Toggle push for approval votes
- Switch strata if they belong to more than one building
Cannot (use desktop)
- Discard a draft card — you can publish a draft on mobile, but discarding one is desktop only
- Billing, usage meters, plan changes
- Full council/member admin, notification role routing, presets
- Contracts module
- Timeline swimlane
- Document upload / category admin
- Ask AI (desktop only)
- Full card document management workflows that assume the wide card panel
