How card approval works
The council voting flow that moves Planning cards forward with a recorded decision.
What it is
Card approval is how council records a decision on a Planning card before work proceeds. Someone requests approval, eligible members vote, and when the approval threshold is met the card moves from Planning into In progress. Moving it on to Done is a separate step an admin takes later, unless an offline decision is recorded with Done as the destination.
Approvals are part of the maintenance card — there is no separate “voting app.”
What you can do
- Request a vote
- Cast a vote
- Record an offline decision when council decided outside Pleno
- Cancel a request (admin) if the vote should not continue
- Get reminders by email and, on the mobile app, push notifications
Who can do it
- Request / cancel / offline record: council admins (president, VP, or property manager with delegated admin)
- Vote: eligible council members (property managers need delegated admin to vote)
Limits and things to know
- Vote tallies are visible to admins, property managers, and the requester; other members typically see their own vote only.
- Approval settings (who is notified, reminder delay, max reminders) live in Settings → Notifications.
- The mobile app supports voting and shows a badge when your vote is needed.
