Requesting a vote
How a council admin starts an approval request on a Planning card.
What it is
Requesting approval opens a formal vote on a Planning card and notifies the roles configured for card-approval events.
What you can do
- Open the card on the maintenance board (or in the mobile card detail).
- Start an approval request.
- Eligible voters receive email and, when enabled, push notifications.
- Cancel the request if the vote should stop before it concludes.
Who can do it
Council admins (president, vice president, or property manager with delegated admin).
Limits and things to know
- Approval is meant for Planning cards that need a council decision before work continues.
- Configure who receives approval emails and push under Settings → Notifications.
- Cancelling does not delete the card — it only ends the open vote.
