Splitting a card by location
Divide one multi-location card into separate cards when the work diverges.
What it is
Sometimes one card covers several locations, then the work splits (different vendors, timelines, or decisions). Split by locations creates separate cards so each location can move independently.
What you can do
From card detail, choose to split by locations. Pleno creates follow-on cards tied to the locations you select so the board stays accurate.
Who can do it
Council admins (president, VP, or property manager with delegated admin).
Limits and things to know
- Splitting is for location divergence — it is not a general “duplicate card” tool.
- Linked reports, documents, and approval state may not all carry over the way you expect; review the new cards after a split.
- Free open-card limits still apply to new open cards created by a split.
