Reading the forecast
How to navigate the year-by-year depreciation forecast.
What it is
After a report is parsed, the forecast shows components by year — typically a 10-year window or the full horizon — with undated or no-cost items called out separately.
What you can do
- Switch horizon views
- Open a component side panel for cost, remaining life, projected year, engineer notes, and photos
- Spot items that still need a year or cost
- Watch for BC 5-year refresh reminders when a study is getting old

Limits and things to know
- The forecast is a working view for council, not a substitute for the signed engineer report.
- Items you add as council-owned forecast items sit alongside parsed components.
