Marking done, deferring, promoting
Act on forecast components without losing the reserve study context.
What it is
Each forecast component can be worked like a planning object: mark it done, defer it a year with a reason, reopen it, archive it, or promote it to the maintenance board when it becomes active work.
What you can do
- Mark done when the work is complete. Pleno records the completion year on the component and creates a matching maintenance card in Done, or moves an existing card for that component to Done. If the linked card is still in Planning, your council’s approval rules apply before it can move.
- Defer a year (with reason) when council pushes timing
- Promote to a board card so day-to-day tracking happens in Maintenance
- Reopen or archive components as the plan changes

Pro buildings; writers need maintenance operate permission.
Limits and things to know
- Promoting creates real board work and counts toward open-card limits on Free — but depreciation itself is Pro-only, so Free buildings will not use this path.
- Deferral reasons help the next council understand why a year moved.
